This is an inter-club Competition of digital images. You must be a member to enter competitions. You may enter up to 3 images per category. See Competition Guidelines for further information. You may also contact Martha Compton, our Digital Images Chairperson, for assistance. The categories are:
Nature (Photo Realistic)
Architecture (Photo Realistic)
Member Critique: Bring one or two digital images, preferable projected images, for the group to see and make detailed suggestions. We generally have someone at the computer using post-processing tools to implement changes to each image. The critique is a great way to see your work from a different point of view especially in preparation for year-end competitions.
There are three categories for this Intra-Club Competition:
Small Prints must be no larger than 8"x 12" and must be mounted on 11"x 14" foam board. Note that given the dimensions, small prints physically cannot be flush mounted.
Large Prints exceed 8" x 12" in any dimension, but cannot exceed 16" x 20". Large prints may be flush mounted.
Open Prints may be produced on any medium, be submitted mounted or un-mounted, matted or un-matted, and be of any size or shape, provided they fit entirely within the 20"x 20" display box.
At the end of the Best In Show, judges will show a slide presentation of the winners and critique the images. Participants and spectators are welcome to attend this critique. The critique is held at the Lincoln Square Mall.
Members, please stick around and help with closure of the show.
The 2nd Projected Image Competition allows members to try images in a competition before entering them in an outside competition and before entering them in our year-end Salon. Each member may submit up to 3 images per category. See Competition Guidelines for further information or contact Martha Compton, our Digital Image Chairperson. The categories are as follows:
I-74 Challenge Theme (Photo-Realistic) The challenge theme this year is Social Interaction.
"Fix The Photo" creative project. In this fun activity, members are given a digital image prior to this meeting. Members are told to manipulate the image however they seem fit. It could be a serious, creative manipulation or something quite humorous. Members bring back their creative image to this meeting to show the group.
Club members may enter any digital or printed image so long as it has not been accepted in a previous Champaign County Camera Club Spring Salon. Images from regular competitions in the past year or before are welcome. See Competition Guidelines for further information.
Print Categories: Small, Large, Open. Club members can enter up to 8 prints in each category, but limited to 15 total.
