2021 Interstate 74 challenge
The I-74 Challenge was held on April 15, 2021. The two participating clubs were the Champaign County Camera Club (CCCC) and the KodaRoamers from Bloomington, IL. Two camera clubs located along I-74, the KodaRoamers and the Champaign County Camera Club, meet annually each with 50 digital images from their respective clubs to compete for points on a certain topic.
The Bloomington KodaRoamers hosted the Challenge this year. Because of the worldwide pandemic, libraries and meeting rooms where our clubs meet were closed. This competition was conducted entirely on Zoom. Theme for the competition was wind, water and/or fire (open - no restriction on image manipulation). This year digital images were taken May 1, 2019 - April 1st, 2021.
Three judges scored each image and selected the final winners. The top five images from both clubs are presented here, along with three runners-up (Honorable Mention). Final Score: KodaRoamers 17, CCCC 35. Congratulations Champaign County Camera Club!
The Champaign County Camera Club was founded in November, 1935, on the campus of the University of Illinois as the Photon Camera Club. After several name changes, it became known as the Champaign County Camera Club. The Bloomington/Normal Camera Club has been in existence since 1944, and is now known as the KodaRoamers.
