INFORMATION FOR VISITORS TO THE CHAMPAIGN COUNTY CAMERA CLUB (CCCC)
WELCOME!! We are glad you are here and hope you will consider joining us! This is the gathering place in Champaign County where individuals who enjoy photography come together for fun and learning. Photographers ages 16 and above, and all skill levels, are very welcome!
Check out the CCCC website and our Facebook presence to stay abreast of what is happening. The entire CCCC group pledges to help you transition into membership if that is your goal.
WHAT DO WE DO?
WE MEET – from August through May, usually on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Champaign Public Library.
WE ENGAGE IN CHALLENGES – on a regular basis that expand and increase our enjoyment of photography. Currently we challenge our members to go outside of their comfort zone to create images related to a specific color, a specific type of image, or a specific photographic technique. It is amazing what you can learn and how you can expand your creativity!
WE ENJOY PRESENTATIONS – on a variety of topics in photography, from street photography to night photography to using lighting in your work. In this process, we call on our members’ expertise in addition to individuals from outside our orbit.
WE TRAVEL AND HAVE FUN – on excursions here, there and everywhere. There is rarely a weekend that goes by without a field trip to a nature preserve, garden, or wild and crazy event like a regatta, air show, or motorcycle show. And don’t forget how close we are to a long chunk of Route 66!
WE ENTERTAIN EACH OTHER – with presentations related to our travels – far and wide.
WE PLAN AND MANAGE – the BEST-IN-SHOW photographic competition each spring with the sponsorship of the Urbana Park District, the News Gazette and other lovely companies and organizations.
WE COMPETE – with other groups in the region on a regular basis, engaging in digital photography competitions with the Bloomington KodaRoamers and the Central Illinois Camera Clubs Association (CICCA) that provide the opportunity to learn from other photographers and enjoy gentle critiques from some very helpful, knowledgeable judges. (Members are encouraged to participate in competitions, regardless of whether one has images in the competition or not!)

Then join us for some great adventures and exciting experiences. Fill out the membership application form and pay your dues ($20 for individuals and $30 for families annually). You will receive a New Member Information Packet with more details about who we are and what we do. Then, be prepared to have some fun and expand your photographic horizons!
