Challenges Return

Challenges Return

By request, leadership has decided to bring back challenges for most meetings. No official judging of images will be done, but if you ask for critique we can do that.

RULES:

1.  The challenge subjects will be announced roughly 60 days before the meeting.  We want you to go out and see the world in a different way.  HAVE FUN and BE CREATIVE!

2. The challenge will consist of 3 subjects-a color, a subject or object, and a camera or editing technique. Each of these can be interpreted differently by each photographer.  It is up to the interpretation of the photographer how and what subjects are photographed.

3.  Up to 6 photos can be submitted, but only 2 of any one subject. Bonus points for 2 or 3 subjects in one photo.

4. AI USAGE- This is an issue in many contests and challenges, so here is how we are going to handle it.  NO AI images submitted that are generated strictly from a prompt.   Adding an object using AI is not allowed.  Both of these defeat the purpose of looking for the subjects.   AI noise reduction or AI distraction removal is allowed.

 5. Jpeg images are preferred. The maximum size for a projected image is 1400 x 1050 pixels. Images should be sized so they do not exceed 1400 pixels in the horizontal direction or 1050 pixels in the vertical direction. For example, an image that is 1400 x 1050 pixels is acceptable, but one that is 1450 x 1050 pixels is not. Also remember when entering an image in a vertical orientation, that the vertical dimension cannot exceed 1050 pixels. This also applies to the dimensions for a square format, which should not exceed 1050 x 1050 pixels.

6. Email your images to champaigncountycameraclub@gmail.com with a subject line that states - Photo Challenge Subjects (e.g. Gold, Ripples, H ontrast) or (Pastel/Muted Colors, Bumpy, Abstract)

9/8—GOLD, RIPPLES, HIGH CONTRAST
